Places to Plant Grapes
The climate throughout Hungary is totally continental, with unsurprisingly icy winters and burning summers. Earths are varied, with shingle prevailing in the Great Plain, & basalt stalwart deceitful atop granite being typical all around Lake Balaton. The northern Massif and Tokaj-Hegyalja are covered with volcanic rock covered with decaying lava.
Choosing Wine
Wine is sold by the glass or bottle everywhere and at reasonable prices. When choosing a Hungarian wine, look for the words quality wine or premium quality wine, Hungary’s version of French quality regulation. On a wine label the first word indicates the region then the grape variety or brand of wine. Any wine that costs 2000Ft in shops is a bottle of Hungarian wine. When you pay more than 3000Ft, you will get the finest wine of Hungary.
